Our hives are completely natural - when people compare hives it should be pointed out (and it is by us!) that in the wild bees are not subject to glues, pressure treated woods, chemicals or anything other then pure local hardwood.
The hives are usually made of European larch which is a long lasting wood capable of enduring weather and elements. With wall thickness of 35mm / 1.5" these hives will last many years. Each hive is crafted by hand and built with only timber and screws, no glues, epoxies, paints or plywoods. In short, they are toxin free and truly natural.
